How to create a Buccaneer
To create one, choose the 'Explorers' option in the Character Creation screen and then continue through the story until you reach the town 
Lith Harbor where Sugar has a quest called 'The Adventure Begins'. Accept the quest and choose the option 'Pirate' when prompted
Continue with the story until Lv. 30 as a Pirate and talk to Kyrin to accept a quest called 'The 2 Types of Pirate'. Complete the quest by choosing the option Brawler and you will be on the path to a Buccaneer. Brawler is the 2nd job of Buccaneer
Fighting, Sea Serpent, and Assault Skills
In 2nd Job, Fighting and Sea Serpent skills are introduced. When using a Fighting skill, Sea Serpent skills will automatically activate. Below is a list of all Fighting skills:
- Static Thumper - 2nd Job
- Turning Kick - 3rd Job
- Hook Bomber - 4th Job
- Octopunch - 4th Job
- Can only trigger and
- Can only trigger
Sea Serpent skills can be toggled ON/OFF by using Sea Serpent. Sea Serpent skills are only activated by using Fighting skills and cannot be used on their own. Below is a list of all Sea Serpent skills:
- Sea Serpent Burst - 2nd Job
- Sea Serpent's Rage - 4th Job
- Only activated by

In 3rd Job, Assault skills and Assault Mode are introduced. While in Assault Mode, using a Fighting skill will trigger an Assault skill and end Assault Mode
To enter Assault Mode, a special resource called 'Serpent Scales' is generated by triggering Sea Serpent skills. Upon gaining 5 Serpent Scales, use Serpent Scale to activate Assault Mode
While in Assault Mode, Sea Serpent skills will not trigger. Assault skills are only activated by Fighting skills and cannot be used on their own
